Jas lad- I think the 7 is an awesome car and with subtle mods can look the dogs. 8 is more expensive and to be honest I don't know why! 7 looks more hardened and is a real weapon with few engine upgrades there's plenty of power to on tap!! IMO 8 isn't worth the extra.

Sure, the EVO has better suspension, tires, and seats out of the box, but the rest of the car just doesn't even hold a candle to the Sti. The Regular Evo' 8 with free StarSense offer is now about ÂŁ1,575 (I paid about ÂŁ250 more). The general consensus is that the difference in optical quality is modest. But for the price difference one could buy at least three Televue Delos EP's plus a quality light pollution filter.
First, the Evo 8 comes in both standard and Edge optics. The Edge is about $500 more. Based on your original post of dabbling in EAA, I don’t think the Edge is necessary. Most EAA use wouldn’t appreciate the more corrected optics unless one is using larger sensor cameras and is more into traditional AP.
