Hi everyone, For the past few weeks, my car has been very sensitive with it's battery. Repeatedly failing to start after a day or so. I'm ok with electrics so I decided to diagnose it myself. It has a drain of 170ma. I started pulling the main fuses in the driver box. I noticed that fuse 3 (F3) i

BCM body control module replacement. I recently had a headlight go out. Bulbs, fuses, connections and all else are fine. My mechanic and I tracked it down the to BCM in the passenger footwell. It is not putting out enough to power the light. 6.9. Once some power is put to it, it lights right up.
To test the GEM module on Ford trucks you will need to locate the module and once you have found it, remove the cover and disconnect the wiring harness. Next, use a multimeter or voltmeter to test the voltage at each pin. If everything is functioning correctly, you should see voltage at each pin. Finally, reattach the wiring harness and replace
Probably a simple one: I have a mk2 Focus, 05 plate , 2 litre petrol and I'm going to fit a keyless entry system. I've identified all of the wires I need except the lock and unlock wires and by god I've searched. Many people say the same thing which is that I need yellow and black and black and red at the grey plug on the gem in the passenger

It may be used in 01 and 02 also, but we know that 03 that they changed to an updated number. If you want to keep from having to program it, and it usually will workout ok

A: In most cases, yes. After replacing the GEM module, it will need to be programmed to work with your specific vehicle. This programming can typically be done by a professional mechanic or at a Ford dealership. Q: Where is the GEM module located? A: The location of the GEM module can vary depending on the make and model of your Ford vehicle.
GEM swapping - if so, you don't need to program PATS. Only IC and PCM are involved into PATS on Focus Mk2. However, you would probably need to transfer configuration from old GEM to new one (or load AB data from Motorcraft site), and program your keyfobs to the new GEM.
